2021 GMC Sierra

What's New For the 2021 GMC Sierra?

To make it easier for you to use your GMC Sierra for adventures both on the road and off the road, GMC has decided to make some alterations to their trailer system. A jack-knife alert system has been added to let you know when your trailer is starting to move faster than your vehicle so you can make corrections. A trailer-length indicator alerts you when there is traffic near your vehicle that might get in the way of your trailer. The Multipro trim level comes with an updated tailgate and additional paint colors. The AT4 trim level now includes Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires for optimal road handling. A high-clearance step and an optional diesel engine are also part of this trim level.

Which Features Are Available for 2021?

GMC Sierra offers six trim levels. The SLE trim level comes with a 2.7-liter I4 engine that accepts regular gas and provides a fuel efficiency rating of 21 miles per gallon combined. It comes in both a 4x2 and 4x4 style. The Elevation trim level comes with fender flares, trailer backup assist, brake controller, and a black grille with body color accents. The SLT trim level comes with a 5.3-liter V8 engine with a rear-wheel drivetrain. Fuel efficiency ratings go down to 18 miles per gallon combined with this engine option.

The AT4 comes with two 4x4 combinations that feature a 9200-pound towing capacity. Three different interior colors are optional. Finally, the Denali comes with 4x2 and 4x4 capabilities. No diesel option is available, but you get plenty of power from its 5.3 liter V8. If you need heavy-duty towing and hauling power, you'd want to look at the HD line of Sierra trucks such as the Sierra Heavy Duty, Sierra HD AT4, and Sierra HD Denali.
