Specs at a Glance

The redesigned GMC Yukon remains among the few truck-based SUVs on the market. Not only does this full-size SUV provide more passenger room, but it also offers improved handling and ride comfort. Exciting new features make the latest Yukon even more appealing. Let’s take a look at the SLE, and SLT trims compare to the range-topping Denali trim.

Performance

The SLE and SLT trims are equipped with a muscular 5.3-liter V8 engine. It’s rated to crank out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is found throughout the lineup. While rear-wheel drive comes standard, you can opt for a 4X4 drivetrain. You also can outfit these trims with Chevy’s Max Trailering Package, which increases the Yukon’s tow rating to an impressive 8,400 pounds.

Under the hood of the Denali trim sits a more potent 6.2-liter V8 engine. It pushes 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration off the line will be powerful.

Appearance

Many drivers will be drawn to the 2021 GMC Yukon’s more modern styling. Even the base Yukon SLE receives an attractive set of 18-inch aluminum wheels and LED exterior lighting. Black assist steps make it easier for everyone to hop inside. To give the Yukon SLT a more upscale look, GMC decks it out with chrome exterior accents and larger 20-inch aluminum wheels. Atop the range is the Yukon Denali. Its exclusive grille and dual exhaust with stainless steel tips make a powerful statement.

Features

There are many great amenities found on the entry-level Yukon SLE. Technology lovers will appreciate the new 10.2-inch touchscreen interface with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration. Designed to support up to seven devices at once, the SUV’s standard 4G Wi-Fi hotspot is a feature everyone can enjoy. Other standard features include tri-zone automatic climate control, an HD rearview camera, and voice-activation technology.

The leather-appointed Yukon SLT is another step up the trim ladder. A few of its premium features include heated/ventilated front seats, a nine-speaker Bose sound system, and wireless charging. You’ll also benefit from GMC Pro Safety Plus, which brings several active safety technologies.

The top-of-the-line Yukon Denali is exceptionally luxurious. Exclusive interior treatments help set it apart from the rest of the lineup. You’ll also receive a head-up display, navigation, and a more stunning Bose sound system with 14 speakers.
