2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 vs 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X

With the GMC Sierra 1500, you don't need to look any further for a work-ready light-duty pickup truck. This vehicle offers advanced technology, robust 4x4 systems, and a variety of powerful engines (including an impressive diesel V8). Whether you need to conquer off-road terrain or tackle work projects efficiently, the GMC Sierra 1500 has the perfect trim for you. The AT4 and AT4X are built for off-road excellence.

Performance

The AT4 and AT4X are powered by a standard 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel engine that delivers 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. Diesel enthusiasts will appreciate both models, but their off-road capabilities and stability differ slightly. The AT4X features a driver-selectable full-locking front and rear differential, which is unavailable on the AT4. Additionally, the AT4X includes an off-road suspension system with a 2" factory-installed lift and Multimatic DSSV dampers, enhancing its off-road handling.

Appearance

All 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 trucks have a bold and aggressive look. The AT4X has 18" painted aluminum wheels featuring dark-painted pockets and 18" mud-terrain Goodyear Wrangler Territory blackwall tires. In comparison, the AT4 comes with 18" machined aluminum wheels with dark accents. The AT4X can be further customized with exclusive exterior accents, such as Black Decorative rings for beadlock-capable wheels and an AEV stamped-steel high-approach front bumper, options not available on the AT4.

Features

The truck cabin is the command center where all the work gets done. The AT4 and AT4X feature striking interior designs and advanced technology. The AT4 includes a 12.3-inch color driver information system and a 10-way power driver seat, both standard on the AT4X as well. The AT4X also has additional standard features like a head-up display, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a rear camera mirror.
