Specs at a Glance
The 2025 GMC Canyon is a great midsize pickup truck. You'll love its strong performance, refined features, and impressive everyday utility. Head-turning style makes this pickup even more enticing. When shopping for a new Canyon, some drivers will be choosing between the Elevation and AT4 trim levels. Let's take a glance at how these two Canyon trims compare.
Performance
Both trims are motivated by a 2.7-liter, TurboMax four-cylinder engine. It's rated to develop a stout 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. You can enjoy responsive performance in a wide range of conditions. An eight-speed automatic transmission shifts power to the wheels. While a rear-wheel drive system comes standard on the Canyon Elevation, it offers a capable 4WD system as an option. Meanwhile, four-wheel drive is standard on the Canyon AT4.
Featuring an off-road suspension with a 2.0-inch factory lift and an automatic locking rear differential, the Canyon Elevation is more than capable of handling most trails. However, rugged upgrades transform the Canyon AT4 into an even more capable adventure machine. It comes standard with a two-speed transfer case and hill descent control.
Appearance
The Canyon Elevation will make heads turn. Its beefy stance is given by a set of 18-inch dark alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. LED projector headlamps and LED taillights also come standard. On the rear, a CornerStep bumper makes loading and unloading cargo easier. Some available exterior colors include Deep Bronze Metallic, Rapids Metallic, and Volcanic Red Tintcoat.
While the Canyon Elevation features black tow hooks in the front, the Canyon AT4 has red tow hooks. LED fog lights further distinguish the AT4 trim.
Features
The well-equipped Elevation trim packs enough features to satisfy most drivers. Its GMC premium infotainment system boasts an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built in. Convenient bed features, such as a remote locking tailgate, make the Canyon Elevation more satisfying. Several advanced safety features are standard, including automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assistance. Other standard equipment includes wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone connectivity, an 11.0-inch driver information screen, and an HD Rear Vision camera.
When cold weather arrives, the AT4 trim's heated front seats can be used. Dual-zone automatic climate control further enhances passenger comfort. A watertight MultiStow Tailgate storage system is also included, allowing you to secure your tools and other small items.
