Specs at a Glance

The GMC Sierra 1500 consistently ranks among the top light-duty pickup trucks thanks to its outstanding performance and eye-catching design. At our dealership, we'll have the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 lineup, and comparing the Pro and SLT trims is a great way to start before you book your test drive.

Performance

The Pro and SLT trims differ significantly in performance. The Pro trim is the more economical choice, offering a TurboMax engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the SLT trim comes equipped with a 5.3L V8 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Pro generates 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, while the SLT delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, with its 10-speed transmission, the SLT offers smoother transitions and quicker acceleration.

Appearance

Despite their performance differences, the Pro and SLT trims share a few exterior traits. The Pro trim comes with 17" painted silver wheels, while the SLT trim upgrades to 18" 6-spoke machined aluminum wheels featuring Dark Grey metallic accents. The SLT also offers optional upgrades like 6" chrome full-length assist steps, an illuminated red GMC emblem, and Max trailering packages. If the GMC MultiPro tailgate is a must-have for your truck, it comes standard on the SLT but is only available as an option on the Pro.

Features

Both trims come with thoughtful design touches, such as under-seat storage, an HD rear vision camera, and Wi-Fi capability. However, the Pro trim is equipped with standard vinyl seating, while the SLT offers perforated leather-appointed front outboard seats. The SLT also comes standard with more advanced features like steering-wheel-mounted controls, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. If you want a more high-tech, luxurious interior, the SLT is for you. The Pro, however, is ideal if you prefer a more straightforward truck with only the essentials.

To experience the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Pro and SLT firsthand, visit our dealership and take both trims for a test drive.
