What happens when you go to turn on your GMC MultiPro Tailgate Audio, and you don't hear any sound? What kind of troubleshooting can you undertake to start hearing music again? Let's have a look at some of the steps that you can follow to get back to your music. Using the tailgate remote, you can control the volume and song selection.

Check This First

While this sounds obvious, we start with the easier fixes first to rule out some of the most apparent problems. For example, check to make sure that you have turned up the volume on your device. If that doesn't work, then you should turn up the volume on your tailgate remote. A lot of people don't realize there are two different volume channels that you will need to check before getting it to work.

Getting the Correct Source Mode

Let's say that you have turned up the volume on your device, and you have turned up the volume on your tailgate remote. If that doesn't work, you should check to see that you have the correct source mode. You can choose between three different source modes when it comes to your audio:

  • Bluetooth
  • USB
  • AUX

As you can imagine, if you have your source mode on Bluetooth, you won't likely hear the sound. You want to make sure that your device isn't connected to the interior Bluetooth system. Otherwise, you won't connect it with the GMC MultiPro Tailgate system.

USB is generally good for WMA and MP3 files, and you can use this to charge compatible smartphones as well.

Using the AUX port, this can connect your sound system to compatible devices like the microphone, the radio, the television, and the CD player. To use AUX, however, you will need to have an AUX cord. Then you plug it in and start listening.

You should also check to see if you have received a phone call because the system stops all audio when you receive a phone call. If you still can't seem to turn it on, you can always take it back to the dealership, and they will help you to better understand how to use your system.
