What's New for the 2026 GMC Canyon?

The Canyon's AT4X trim begins with a new factory lift kit that adds Multimatic Jounce Control Dampers for superior off-road handling. For a more aggressive aesthetic, GMC now offers the Nightfall Essentials Package, which pairs exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires with blacked-out badging. The model year also introduces a Coastal Dune exterior color and available gloss-black wheels.

What Are the 2026 Canyon Trims & Features?

The 2026 Canyon is offered in four main trims: Elevation, AT4, AT4X, and Denali. The base Elevation, fitted with an off-road-tuned suspension, is well-equipped and capable of being used on trails. Standard highlights include an 11.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, and keyless entry.

The AT4 further enhances off-road ability with features like an automatic locking rear differential and a two-speed transfer case. It also adds creature comforts such as dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start, and heated power front seats.

For maximum off-road performance, the AT4X is the pick. It's equipped with Multimatic DSSV dampers, protective rock rails, and selectable front and rear locking differentials, and it comes standard with a premium Bose audio system.

If luxury is a priority, the Denali trim delivers. The Canyon Denali includes chrome exterior trim and upgraded tech with a head-up display and Surround-Vision camera technology.
