What's New For the 2020 GMC Acadia?
In 2020, GMC gives the Acadia notable updates. There are many new features and amenities to look forward to with the 2020 Acadia. They include improvements to the flagship SUV inside and out and the mechanical system too. Stronger, faster, and more powerful rides are the norm this year with the addition of a new four-cylinder turbocharged engine.
To match the more powerful engine, the Acadia upgrades to a nine-speed automatic transmission from its former six-speed. Inside, the cabin gets a refreshment with the addition of an improved entertainment system and more precise navigation. A new trim, called the AT4, joins the family this year. The AT4 is more sporty and outdoor-oriented than the others. It fits in below the Denali, which is the most luxurious and upscale of the Acadia family. Regardless of the trim level you get, refined ride quality is a hallmark of all trim levels. The cabin design is user-friendly and comfortable, with many options for custom add-on amenities. Technology is at its best in the 2020 Acadia, even with the base trim.

2020 Acadia Comes with an Amazing Array of Features
This year, the Acadia comes in four trim levels. The first two trims have seating space for seven, while a seating capacity for seven is standard on the third. The base trim, which is called the SL, has a keyless entry and start feature. Tri-zone climate control, which is only available on the higher-end trims of most competitors, is a standard feature in the SL. Also notable is the fact that a 4G WiFi hotspot is standard on all versions of the Acadia, starting with the base trim level. The SL comes standard with a four-way adjustable driver's seat and front passenger's seat. A 4.2-inch color driver's display is standard, too.
It also gets a standard eight-inch infotainment system. The SLE gets an eight-point digital compass, an optional sunroof, and an optional eight-way adjustable driver's seat. The SLT AT4, which is the next trim, comes standard with a more powerful engine, an eight-inch diagonal infotainment display screen with navigation, and an available dual-pane power sunroof. A six-passenger seating configuration is standard at this trim level. Several appearance and technology packages are available, too, including a bright accent package. The Denali gets heated leather seats and a more sophisticated infotainment system.
2020 GMC Acadia Powertrain and its Performance
The 2020 Acadia is available with several engines. The base engine is a 2.5L with four cylinders. It produces up to 193 HP at 6,300 RPM and 188 LB-FT of torque at 4,400 RPM. Start-stop technology is standard. The second engine is a 2.0L with four cylinders. It cranks out 230 HP at 5,000 RPM and 258 LB-FT of torque between 1,500 and 4,000 RPM. The third engine is a 3.6L V6 that puts out 310 HP at 6,600 RPM and 271 LB-FT of torque at 5,000 RPM. A nine-speed automatic transmission comes standard.
