Join in on the exhilarating fun of a beloved Nebraskan tradition at this year’s Cornhusker Classic, happening March 24-25. Now in its sixth year, the annual truck and tractor pull brings in a unique spread of souped-up trucks and tractors you can’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re a seasoned fan or a newbie, you’re guaranteed to have a good time here.
Known as the world’s heaviest motorsport, truck and tractor pulling features a range of modified vehicles competing to see which is the strongest and most capable. Each vehicle must prove their power by dragging a weighted metal sled around a course, which is mechanically wired to become heavier as the pull goes on. The vehicle that is able to travel the furthest distance is the winner.
At the Cornhusker Classic, spectators can expect to see a variety of one-of-a-kind vehicles that produce mind-blowing horsepower and torque. The competitions take place over both days, and are separated into weight and type classes. Some of these classes include Modified Tractors, Limited Prostock Tractors and Diesel 4x4 Trucks.
Tickets for the event start at $20 per session for adults, with a portion of the proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tickets to the event can be purchased at the Lancaster Event Center, both in advance and at the door.
