GMC has always been known for its ruggedness and capability, but they're also becoming known for their fuel efficiency. Starting in 2022, every GMC model will have a different MPG rating depending on the size and price. The more expensive models are rated at up to 43 MPG, while the more affordable models can achieve up to 31 MPG. This is a huge step forward in-car technology, and it's only the beginning of many moves that GMC is making to become one of the most environmentally friendly automakers on the planet. This article will discuss some of these models.
1. The 2022 GMC Sierra 2WD
The 2022 GMC Sierra is a standard pickup truck in GMC's lineup. It will be able to achieve up to 30 MPG, which is the highest rating for an affordable car. This model will be available with the V8 engine, and it will achieve the most fuel efficiency with that engine.
The 2022 Sierra Hybrid is new for 2022, and it's similar to any other hybrid on the market in terms of features. Still, it has a unique feature that makes it different from any other car out there: you can turn your vehicle into a hybrid at the push of a button. You have to put your vehicle in "Eco Mode," and you're good to go.
2. The 2022 GMC Terrain FWD
The 2022 GMC Terrain is available in two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. It has a different MPG rating depending on the engine that you choose. The FWD models use an inline-4 engine with a standard 6-speed manual transmission or optional nine-speed automatic transmission. With the standard 6-speed manual transmission, it will achieve 30/37 MPG. With the optional nine-speed automatic, it will achieve 25/33 MPG. Since this vehicle is FWD, this is a major improvement over previous years. It has great technology and safety features and a spacious interior, making it a great all-around vehicle.
3. The 2022 GMC Yukon FWD
The GMC Yukon is one of the most popular SUVs on the market. It's been tweaked slightly to make it more fuel-efficient, and it's available in all-wheel drive. This model was the first GMC to achieve 25/33 MPG for all-wheel drive (FWD) models and 30/37 MPG for a 4-wheel drive (AWD). This is an improvement from previous years, but I would expect GM to continue to reformulate their vehicles so that they will meet or exceed the efficiency standards of other car manufacturers in 2022.
