If you've caught any of the earlier "Captain America" movies from Marvel Studios, you probably remember that Cap's preferred mode of transportation was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. But in the new film "Captain America: Brave New World," we see a fresh take on Captain America with Sam Wilson, who now opts for GMC vehicles, with the GMC Hummer EV SUV making a standout impression.
We won't delve into spoilers for "Brave New World," but it's obvious that the Hummer EV SUV has a prominent role in the film. It's easy to understand why—the impressive EV SUV, weighing 9,000 pounds, delivers a bold and heroic look that fits right into an MCU narrative. Moreover, testers have managed to accelerate the 1,000-horsepower Hummer EV Edition 1 from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.3 seconds. That acceleration is on par with a Porsche 911 Carrera, which is notable for any car, especially a large SUV.
At the start of the movie, Sam Wilson drives a Hummer EV SUV and a GMC Sierra pickup truck, although the latter receives less attention.
The MCU is no stranger to featuring GM vehicles. In 2014's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," vehicles such as the Chevrolet Corvette, Impala, Suburban, Tahoe, and Malibu were all showcased.
