What's New For the 2020 GMC Yukon?

The 2020 GMC Yukon is part of the fourth generation of this popular SUV which first premiered in 2015. For this year, GMC is offering a new paint color option known as Carbon Black Metallic. Drivers can choose either this color or Onyx Black if they want to add the Denali Ultimate Black Edition package to their Yukon. With this package, drivers get impressive 22-inch black wheels featuring chrome inserts, chrome on the side view mirror caps, and polished exhaust tips. Inside these models, drivers will find special carpeted black floor mats in the first and second row.

2020 GMC Yukon Has Abundant Features

There are four different trims available when it comes to the 2020 GMC Yukon. You can choose from the SLE, SLT Standard Edition, SLT, and Denali. Each of these trim levels are 2WD standard but also have a 4WD option. Many exciting features are standard on all models of the Yukon in 2020.

Examples include a rear vision camera, front and rear park assist, automatic windshield wipers, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi HotSpot, and a Bose premium sound system, to name a few. Upper trims add more standard and available features, including a hands-free power liftgate, wireless charging, keyless open, and keyless start. A 8" diagonal infotainment system is standard on all models of the Yukon in 2020. Navigation is available on the SLT models and standard on the Denali.

How Well does the 2020 Yukon Perform?

2020 GMC YukonThe standard engine for the 2020 Yukon is a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8. This will give drivers 355-horsepower as well as 383 lb-ft of torque. The engine has Variable Valve Timing, Direct Injection, and Active Fuel Management technology.

A six-speed automatic transmission is standard as well. Upper models have the option of a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine that will give them 420-horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine has the same features as the 5.3L version and is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. The larger engine and ten-speed automatic transmission are standard on the Denali models.

Standard on all models is front and rear park assist, a Front outboard Passenger Sensing System, OnStar and GMC Connected Services capability and more. Available on the SLE and standard on all other models is Lane Keep Assist featuring Lane Departure Warning, which can help to gently correct your course if you begin to drift out of your lane. Other advanced features available to you on certain trims include Lane Change Alert featuring Side Blind Zone Alert and a Heads-Up Display.
