In addition to once again receiving a 5-Star Overall Safety rating from the NHTSA, the Acadia was a recipient of the IIHS’s coveted Top Safety Pick title when outfitted with optional front crash prevention. The 2017 Acadia also earned a “Superior” rating for its Forward Collision Alert with Automatic Braking system. The optional front crash prevention technology is included in the Driver Alert II Package, which comes standard starting on the SLT-1 trim. This package also features advanced driver-assist technologies like Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Following Distance Indicator Front and Rear Park Assist, and Safety Alert Driver Seat.
