GMC Terrain Review for 2014 Model Year

Along with its luxuriously-appointed cabin, the GMC Terrain is distinguished from other compact SUVs by its available V-6 engine. As more and more automakers no longer offer this option, due to environment and fuel economy concerns, the Terrain's powerful yet efficient 3.6-liter V-6 will stand out as a huge plus to many drivers. If you're in the market for an affordable crossover with an enhanced V-6 powered performance and lots of high-end features, you'll definitely want to consider purchasing the 2014 GMC Terrain in Lincoln, Nebraska at your premier auto dealer - Husker GMC. In last year's GMC Terrain review, Kelley Blue Book's editors hit the mark when they stated that the Terrain "[touts] fuel economy figures near the top of its class," while offering a V-6 that delivers ample horsepower and "respectable fuel economy." The base engine, a 2.4-liter direct-injected EcoTec four-cylinder, produces 182 horsepower and 22 city/32 hwy mpg with front-wheel drive models. For those who desire the added performance ability and enhanced driving experience that a stronger engine provides, the 3.6-liter V-6 is available on all Terrain models except the SLE-1. The engine generates 301 horsepower and 272 lb.-ft. of torque, yet still manages to achieve an impressive 24 mpg hwy with front-wheel drive and 23 mpg hwy with all-wheel drive. Additionally, when properly setup the Terrain can tow 1,500 lbs. with the four-cylinder and 3,500 lbs. with the V-6.
