What's New For the 2021 GMC Acadia?
In 2021, GMC unveils the new Elevation Edition trim package available for the Acadia SLE and SLT trims. The Elevation Edition reveals a black grille spruced up with exterior accents. Meanwhile, the glossy black roof rails and 20-inch alloy black accent wheels look like a sophisticated bachelor fresh to the party. Hopping inside the 2021 GMC Acadia, a sharp Jet Black interior welcomes you into the family-friendly crossover SUV.
2021 Acadia Trims & Features
For 2021, You can choose from five trims: SL, SLE, SLT, AT4 and Denali. Along with the trims, GMC rolls out three engine choices to equip the Acadia. Most of the trim levels offer front-wheel drive as the standard, but you can upgrade to all-wheel drive as optional. The AT4 model, enhanced for off-road capabilities, comes with all-wheel drive as the standard and strengthens traction.
If you select the SL or the SLE trim, you can fit up to seven passengers with a second-row bench seat. The SLE adds soft and relaxing second-row captain's chairs, but the new addition reduces your passenger capacity to six. The SL trim offers standard features such as keyless ignition and entry, tri-zone auto climate control, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration, and a six-speaker audio system. As you move up in trims, you'll find ample features and amenities for overall comfort and convenience. While the midrange SLT features a hands-free liftgate, auto-dimming rearview mirror and an upgraded 8-speaker Bose audio system, the AT4 offers more off-roading capabilities with all-terrain tires, hill descent control and hill hold assist. Atop the trims is the Denali. This trim offers standard features such as a head-up display, wireless charging pad, ventilated front seats, and driver-seat memory functions.

2021 GMC Acadia Horsepower
The 2021 GMC Acadia offers three engines, starting with the 193-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. GMC lists this as the standard for the SL and the SLE trims. You can upgrade to the SLT trim, where a 230-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine comes equipped as the standard. From the AT4 to the Denali trim, you get the last engine option of a 310-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine equipped to generate more horsepower at an accelerated rate.
GMC Acadia Safety
With the GMC Pro Safety Plus package, you can expect the standard safety features you'd find in most modern vehicles, such as rear-cross traffic alert, blindspot monitoring and front and rear parking assistance. You can upgrade to include adaptive cruise control in the Denali model. GMC assigned this feature with its Technology Package, which consists of a rear camera mirror and enhanced automatic emergency braking.
