What's New For the 2021 GMC Yukon?

If you're eager to know "what's new?" for the 2021 Yukon, the answer is nearly everything. The Yukon is one of the largest SUVs on the market. This year, the Yukon continues its tradition of being a family hauler and a good car for road trips. But now, the Yukon takes you to the places you want to go with a longer list of features and amenities than ever. The latest Yukon also brings you to your destination with more style, thanks to its new head-turning design. The Yukon is available in 2021 as a regular edition and an even longer and larger version called the XL. The 2021 Yukon has many "first-in-class" features to note, including an active response four-wheel drive system, an adaptive air ride suspension system, an exclusive interior design, a large diagonal display screen, and class-leading power.

2021 Yukon Trims & Features

The 2021 GMC Yukon is available in four trims. It comes in two versions, which are the SL and the Denali. The first trim is called the SLE. The lengthy list of standard features on the SLE includes a touchscreen with a 10.2-inch display, keyless entry, keyless ignition, and an entertainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. On the outside, it draws attention with 18-inch wheels and a rainbow of color choices. The SLE has standard seating for eight, but it can seat nine with an alternative configuration.

The SLT upgrades to 20-inch wheels. It includes more handy amenities such as heated and ventilated seats and leather seats. More safety technology comes standard on the SLT, and it has a nine-speaker Bose stereo.

An off-road trim called the AT4 comes next. This trim has an exclusive four-wheel drive. Along with trim-exclusive exterior accents, it has a heated steering wheel and heated seats in the first and second rows. Adaptive air suspension translates to a smoother and more balanced ride. The Denali tops the list. It includes a 14-speaker stereo from Bose, along with navigation and more standard and optional technology.

GMC Yukon Horsepower

The 2021 GMC Yukon has two engines. The base is a 5.3L V8. This engine is standard on the first three trims. Its power output of 355 HP and 383 LB-FT provides ample towing capacity. The Denali gets its own engine, which is a 6.2L V8. The Denali's engine increases its power to 420 HP. Rear-wheel drive is standard on most trims.

2021 GMC Yukon Safety

The 2021 GMC Yukon comes with forward-collision warning on the base trim. An optional Pro Safety package adds rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure mitigation, and blind-spot monitoring. Trailer safety amenities can be added to the top trims, too.
