What's New for the 2025 GMC Yukon XL?

The 2025 GMC Yukon XL comes with a redesigned front fascia featuring an updated grille and fresh headlight styling. For the first time ever, the Denali Ultimate is offered with standard 24-inch wheels along with new trim selections. The Elevation trim has replaced the SLE and SLT models, and the new AT4 Ultimate makes its debut in 2025. The only significant change in the powertrain is a stronger Duramax diesel 3.0-liter inline-six engine.

What Are the 2025 GMC Yukon XL Trims and Features?

Available trims are the Elevation, AT4, AT4 Ultimate, Denali, and Denali Ultimate. The Elevation is equipped with a 5.3L V8 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission, a 16.8" diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment system, heated driver and front passenger seats, a 10-speaker Bose Surround audio system, and 20" satin graphite machined and painted wheels. The AT4 offers all the features of the Elevation while adding machined aluminum wheels, all-terrain tires, a front skid plate with red recovery hooks, and an 11" diagonal driver information center.

The new AT4 Ultimate includes everything from the AT4 and adds a 6.2L V8 engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission, four-corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology, 16-way power heated front seats with a massage feature, and an 8" rear climate control touchscreen. The Denali is similar to the AT4 Ultimate but features a power-sliding center console and a multicolor 16" heads-up display. The Denali Ultimate is distinguished by its standard 24-inch aluminum wheels.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 GMC Yukon XL Have?

Depending on the trim, the 2025 GMC Yukon XL delivers between 305 and 420 horsepower. The Denali and Denali Ultimate both come with a standard 420-hp 6.2L V8 engine, which is also available for the AT4.
